'DORIS WAS NOT MEAT' was born to help unfortunate dogs that are sold for a mere few dollars to meat markets to escape a horrible death.
Tens of millions of dogs and cats are estimated to be slaughtered in the illegal dog meat trade each year.
Dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, many of them still wearing their collars, are tortured and put under surreal distress while waiting to be killed and become someone’s delicacy.
'DORIS WAS NOT MEAT' has been established to support verified and independent rescuers and contribute to eradicating dog abuse and commerce for meat.
With this platform, 'DORIS WAS NOT MEAT' celebrates unstoppable rescuers’ effort to end these animals’ suffering and want to give visibility to the work they do from interjecting illegal trucks full of dogs before they reach butchers, to the financial aid they provide for their medical care, food and shelter after the dogs are rescued.
We believe in giving dogs in need an opportunity to live freely and healthily again by rehabilitating with special training and infinitive love, so that they can support humans in need as valuable companions.
